Did you know WeOS can reroute IGMP Multicast data streams in 20ms in a resilient ring topology?

On a standard IGMP Multicast (MC) system, it can take 12 seconds or more to recover from a topology change caused by, for example a damaged cable or a failure of a switch. In an automation system, the loss of communications for a few tens of milliseconds can be enough to cause a process to go into a fault condition or halt. WeOS overcomes this issue by ensuring that the MC forwarding tables in a resilient FRNT ring topology all know the alternative path to the destination port or ports.  In many cases, the automation system will not notice that the network has reconfigured itself to bypass faulty media or device.
