Network connectivity for digital payment systems

Public transport passenger numbers are increasing worldwide, which can also mean increased congestion at stations and on-board trains. Digital solutions are becoming more common, and smartphones, near field communication (NFC) and radio frequency identification (RFID) systems are being integrated into stations and on-board trains to improve the travel experience. Digital ticketing solutions help prevent congestion but increase the need for robust and available networks. Westermo offers a variety of network solutions for connecting digital payment systems that are typically found on-board trains and at railway stations.
