On November 19-21, Westermo will participate in a prominent business delegation visiting Singapore as part of a State Visit between Sweden and Singapore. Organized by Business Sweden in collaboration with the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the delegation aims to boost trade, investment, and global competitiveness between Sweden and the Asia-Pacific region. The primary focus areas will be innovation, digitalization, and the green transition.
Westermo is represented by Jenny Sjödahl, CEO Westermo, and Mikael Jidenius MD of Westermo Singapore. Additionally, representatives from Westermo’s sister company, Beijer Electronics, and parent company, Ependion, will attend.
As part of the delegation, Westermo is one of 50 Swedish companies, authorities, educational institutions, and other organizations. Trade, innovation, investment, and the green transition are some of the topics covered during this visit.
The business delegation is part of the first State Visit between Sweden and Singapore. There will be prominent participation from both Swedish and Singaporean representatives, including Their Majesties The King and Queen of Sweden. The Swedish Government will be represented by ministers and state secretaries. The Visit provides an opportunity to further enhance business and research cooperation in several areas.
"It is a pleasure and an honour for us to be part of this business delegation along with many other renowned and major companies," says Jenny Sjödahl. "This visit is an excellent opportunity to further connect with innovative partners in the Asia-Pacific region."
The program includes networking sessions with local stakeholders, topic-specific workshops, seminars, and site visits. The event gives participants the opportunity to network with local partners and clients, developing valuable collaborations and connections.
"We're looking forward to sharing our expertise in mission-critical networks and contributing to discussions about innovation, digitalization and the green transition," says Jenny.
Westermos' secure and reliable solutions, combined with the company’s local presence in Singapore since 2007, offering both technical support and service locally, make a very strong offering for the Asia-Pacific region.
"Through secure and reliable networks, Westermo plays a vital role in enabling digitalization and the green transition," says Jenny. “During the event in Singapore we hope to highlight several topics, including how industrial data communication supports sustainable transportation solutions, modernizes grid infrastructure, incorporates smart grid technologies, and integrates renewable energy sources into the grid."
